The Foundation under the royal patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn

The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation began as the Young Ambassador of Virtue Project. The Project was established in 1999 to commemorate the Sixth Cycle (72nd) Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej (5 December 1999). The Project aimed to develop social and moral qualities in Thai youth, so that they could perform their parts in contributing to the society and the country when they grow up.

The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Project was registered as the Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation on 3 April 2007. The Foundation is firmly committed to continuing to advance the goals set out by the Young Ambassadors of Virtue Project. The Foundation has operated independently with its own staff since 20 August 2009.

Since 29 April 2015, the Foundation has been under the royal patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.

Since 2015, the Foundation has undertaken various projects and activities with 39,767 teachers, students and executives from 300 – 500 of its network schools. These activities include, for instance, School Executives and Teachers Seminars, Campaign Projects to Promote Morality in the Young Ambassadors of Virtue in 35 provinces, Projects to Expand the Young Ambassadors of Virtue’s World Views in 10 countries, and Projects to Foster Friendship with Youth from CLMV Countries, etc.
