Exchange of Friendship among T- CLMV Youth Project

The Young Ambassadors of Virtue, together with students from the CLMV countries, learned about environmental conservation in Petchburi and Sufficiency Economy Philosophy in Sakol Nakhon

12 Young Ambassadors of Virtue from 12 schools in 12 provinces (Chiang Rai, Lam Phoon, Petchaboon, Loey, Chaiyaphum, Sakol Nakhon, Nakhon Panom, Srisaket, Pathumthani, Petchburi and Yala), together with 48 students from the CLMV countries, participated in a learning activity that taught them about energy and natural resource conservation, as well as the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy. The activity was carried out under the “Exchange of Friendship among T- CLMV Youths Project ” project of the Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation. The activity aims to expose the participating students to the application of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy in agriculture and enable them to realize the necessity and the reasons behind energy and environmental conservation.

On 2 May 2016, the delegation visited Wat Don Kai Tia School in Petchaburi province. Mr. Trairong Anantanitiwet, the school director, along with the school’s teachers and students, gave a warm welcome to the delegation. As part of cultural exchange, both sides gave their performances on stage. Four educational stations were set up for students to explore and learn. Those stations are (1) Mathematics: the wonder of numbers (2) Geometric invention (3) Innovation and ways of lives, and (4) Thai traditional arts and games. The delegation also paid a visit to Pan Sorn Narai Supplementary Occupation Group for Women and Hoop Kra Pong Cooperative.
