On 30 January 2023, Mr. Yang Xin, Chargé d’Affaires of the People’s Republic of China Embassy in the Kingdom of Thailand, presented a scholarship of 640,000 baht to the Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Ms. Chantipha Phutrakul, Director of the Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation, accepted the scholarship to support three schools under the Foundation’s network. They are Phratumnuk Suankularb School, Bangkok; Sanambin School, Khon Kaen Province; and Anuban Nakhon Sawan School, Nakhon Sawan Province.
The Foundation divided the scholarship into educational grants among the three schools. It allocated a grant of 240,000 baht to provide educational equipment to Phratumnuk Suankularb School, Bangkok. The equipment includes computers, which will be benefitial to students who need an effective tool to search for information online. The Foundation also granted of 400,000 baht to Grade 5 – 9 students of Sanambin School and Anuban Nakhon Sawan School, as well as other schools under the Foundation’s network in Khon Kaen and Nakhon Sawan. A total of 143 students from 13 schools in 2 provinces received the educational grants.
The presentation of the scholarship was part of the Patron Project, in which the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Kingdom of Thailand and the Phratumnuk Suankularb School have jointly taken part in since 2013. It should be noted that the collaboration of this kind is highly benefitial to students and conducive to building friendly relations between the Embassy and the schools under the Foundation’s network. The collaboration will further expand into other activities aimed at exchanging knowledge that will sustain into the future.
