The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation, together with the Royal Thai Embassy in Bandar Seri Begawan, organized a Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation Visit to Brunei Darussalam, during 17-23 November 2019. ML Suparat Devakula, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, led the group of 37 people (24 students, 6 teachers, and 2 school directors) from 24 schools in 24 provinces from all regions of Thailand to Brunei Darussalam.
The Young Ambassadors of Virtue from Thailand paid a courtesy call on H.E. Wanthanee Viputwongsakul, Ambassador of Thailand to Brunei Darussalam, and Mr. Aliuddin bin Hj Abdul Rahman, Acting Permanent Secretary, Minister of Education of Brunei Darussalam.
The Young Ambassadors of Virtue from Thailand exchanged their knowledge and experiences with students from Lambak Kanan Primary School Jalan 49, Haji Tarif Primary School, and Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Primary School.
The delegation also visited important places, such as the Malay Technology Museum, Maritime Museum, Royal Regalia Museum, Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, Jame Asr’ Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque, and Tasbee Meliponiculture Farm, in order to learn more about Brunei Darussalam’s history, culture, and local ways of life.
The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation Visit to Brunei Darussalam concluded successfully with the support from the Royal Thai Embassy in Bandar Seri Begawan. The visit fulfilled the objective in providing an opportunity for the youth ambassadors’ to gain wider world views and learn something new from their peers, so that they can continue to improve themselves and become a better person in the society.
