The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation, in cooperation with the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Frankfurt, organized a visit to Germany during 10 – 24 November 2015 for a delegation of 4 students and 1 teach from 5 schools, located in the 5 provinces of Thailand (Chiang Rai, Phichitr, Rayong, Chantaburi and Bangkok). The students are in grade 6 – 8, ranging from 11 to 13 years old. They were selected from the project that aimed at broadening their perspectives and fostering friendship between neighboring countries, held in January – March 2015.

During the visit, the Young Ambassadors of Virtue attended regular classes with the local students at Robert – Gerwig – Gymnasium school, a middle school with 800 students located at Hausach in the southwestern part of Frankfurt. The Young Ambassadors of Virtue learned and experienced the local society and culture through their Thai-German host families. They also got to exchange knowledge and experiences with German students. The Young Ambassadors of Virtue had opportunities to present several aspects of Thailand, such as Thai school system, current efforts by young students in conserving the environment, Thai culture and festivals, tourist destinations. They also gave an impressive performance by singing in Thai, English and German to their classmates. Moreover, the Young Ambassadors got to visit several important museums and nearby cities such as Frankfurt Freiburg Gutach and Konstanz.

This visit was a very successful trip thanks to the generous support by the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Frankfurt. This trip demonstrates an example of a CSR project conducted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, and serves to further promote all the relevant agencies to recognize how a youth development program such as this can inspire and help the students to become a good member of the society.
