The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Thailand and Anubarn Pra Nakorn Sri Ayuthaya School

The Young Ambassadors of Virtue foundation in cooperation with ASOMFA, The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Thailand and the Anubarn Pra Nakorn Sri Ayuthaya School organized a Korea Week as part of the Foundation’s “Patrons” project. During the Korea Week from 10 – 14 June 2013,  participants had the opportunity to broaden their knowledge about Thailand – Korea relations and cultural ties. Various exhibitions were arranged to promote Thailand – Korea and ASEAN – Korea relations.

The participants during the Korea Week included 1,900 students of Anubarn Pra Nakorn Sri Ayuthaya School and a number of students from other network schools within Pra Nakorn Sri Ayuthaya province including Wat Huntra School, Wad Nong Pao School and Wad Sawang Arom School. Students of different schools worked together in organizing a Thai corner showcasing their skills in handicraft, in Thai cooking and in Thai musical instruments. There were also exhibitions about the Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation and information about the Republic of Korea where participants can learn more about Korea and Korean cooking, for example.

On 14 June 2013, the students performed a Korean song and welcomed H.E. Jeon Jae Man, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea. H.E. Jeon Jae Man also participated in the general knowledge quiz and awarded the winner as well as granting the Anubarn Pra Nakorn Sri Authaya School a piano and various learning materials about the Republic of Korea.
