The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation, together with the Department of East Asian Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, organized a Patrons Project between the Embassy of Malaysia to Thailand and the Phra Tamnak Suankulab Mahamongkol School. His Excellency Mr. Chaisiri Anamarn, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Pongsatorn Sirisakorn, Deputy Governor of Nakhorn Pathom Province, and His Excellency Dato’ Jojie Samuel, Ambassador of Malaysia to Thailand, together presided over the Opening Ceremony on 17 January 2020.

The Patrons Project comprised the ‘Week of Learning’ activity to widen the students’ knowledge about the Patron Country and the visit by the Embassy to foster friendship between the School and the Embassy.

The Phra Tamnak Suankulab Mahamongkol School organized an exhibition on Thailand-Malaysia Bilateral Relations, a drawing competition under the theme of ‘Wonderful Malaysia’, and a writing contest on Thailand-Malaysia Bilateral Relations. The Embassy of Malaysia organized an informative session introducing Malaysia’s language, culture, traditional attire, food, ways of life, and important places in Malaysia. These activities have enabled the young ambassadors to better understand and learn more about Malaysia, which is an important neighboring country of Thailand. The visit also fostered friendship between the School and the Embassy.

The Embassy of Malaysia complimented the students on their eagerness and their ability to answer questions about Malaysia. Their eagerness to learn about Malaysia was also reflected in their drawings and their Malaysian dance performance. It is for certain that these kind of knowledge exchange activities between the School and the Embassy will continue to take place in the future.
