The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation, in cooperation with PTT Public Company Limited, conducted a CSR camp aiming Young Ambassadors of Virtue. Called “Save the World, Save the Land”, the camp was held at the Sirindhorn International Environmental Park, Petchaburi Province between 15-22 April 2013. The participants comprised 174 Young Ambassadors of Virtue and 30 teachers represented 41 schools from 14 provinces in Thailand.
The theme of the camp revolved around energy, environment, and nature to instill conservation conscience through various hands-on learning activities. These include, for example, mangrove forest planting and bird watching. Such knowledge and experience can be applied to support the Young Ambassadors of Virtue Project in participating schools, which involves energy saving, alternative energy using, garbage disposal, and environment conservation. In addition, the camp offered interactive lessons on ASEAN Community, neighbouring countries, and foreign languages.
After having been through this learning experience, 22 Young Ambassadors of Virtue and 5 teachers were selected to join the study trip to Indonesia to promote knowledge exchange and friendship. On their way back, they are expected to produce a handbook to share their experiences in Indonesia with other Young Ambassadors.
