Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation teamed up with Southern Border Province Administration Centre organized a camp “Team spirit and Peaceful Living”

The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation, in cooperation with the Southern Border Provinces Administration Centre, carried out the “love our country” project through a camped called “Team spirit and Peaceful Living”. The camp took place at the General Prem Tinsulanonda Historical Park, Songkhla province between 21-27 April 2013. Mr. Krissada Boonraj, Governor of Songkhla, and Former Ambassador Don Pramudwinai were present at the opening ceremony. Representatives from Songkhla University, Taksin University, SheikhulIslam Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Royal Thai Consulate-General in Penang were invited to share experiences with 116 Young Ambassadors of Virtue and 31 teachers who come from 41 schools in 13 provinces all over Thailand.

The camp aimed to promote team spirit, learning and thinking skills, how to be the youth of new generation, intercultural communication, harmonious living in a diverse society, and understanding of identities in different regions of the country. Moreover, the Young Ambassadors of Virtue learned about the ASEAN Community, relations between Thailand and Malaysia, and Bahasa Malaysia songs. They also visited important places in the area, such as Pako Temple, the Folklore Museum, and Ice Dome.

During camping, 33 Young Ambassadors of Virtue and 9 teachers were selected to join a study trip to Malaysia between 24-29 June 2013 to promote knowledge exchange and strengthen friendly ties with neighbouring friends.
