A Campaign Project in 2015 to Promote Morality among the Young Ambassadors of Virtue in the eastern part of Thailand

The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation, in cooperation with the Crown Property Bureau Foundation, organized a campaign project to promote morality among the Young Ambassadors of Virtue through the “city of virtue” and several constructive activities aimed at enhancing the power of morality and knowledge among the youths in the 2 provinces in the eastern part of Thailand: Chantaburi and Chachoengsao.

In Chantaburi , the event was held during 2-4 September 2015 at Saritdej School. Mr. Klanarong Pongcharoen, Deputy Governor of Chantaburi, together with Mr. Theerawat Bhumichitr, a committee member of the Young Ambassador Foundation, co-chaired the opening ceremony. 5,330 students and teachers from 15 member schools participated in the event.

In Chachoengsao, the event was held during 8 – 10 September 2015 at Donthong School. Khunying Kasama Worawan na Ayudhya, a committee member of the Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation, chaired the opening ceremony. 3,556 students and teachers from 10 member schools participated in the event.

From viewing the “City of Virtue” exhibition, students learned and appreciated the power of morality through His Majesty’s teaching on perseverance, humbleness, eagerness to learn, being a good citizen, and self-reliance. Students determined to devote goodwill in honor of Her Royal Highness Princess Mahachakri Sirindhorn’s 60th birthday anniversary. In addition, they also viewed learning platforms on “school of virtue”, “house of virtue”, “field of virtue”, “religious site”, “farm of virtue”, and “market of virtue”, and participated in the fun “online Young Ambassadors of Virtue” activities.

Additional learning activities for participating students include showing of “Royal Father of the Land” and “Her Royal Highness the Educator” videos, essay and painting contests under the theme “Doing Good by Following the Father’s Footsteps”, and a quiz on “Asean Community and the European Union”. There were also educational games include “108 Fun Quizzes” and “1 Question 3 Answers”, etc. Questions and answers, as well as prizes in these quizzes and games were a courtesy of Department of ASEAN Affairs, Department of America and South Pacific Affairs, Department of European Affairs, Department of East Asian Affairs, and Department of South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs. These activities stimulated the students’ desires to learn and research more about other countries, which will further benefit their learning experiences.

Domestic Projects and Activities

The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation and Office of the Royal Development Projects Board (ORDPB) organized a camp on The King’s Philosophy to Sustainable Development

The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation, in cooperation with Office of the Royal Development Projects Board (ORDPB), arranged a camp called “The King’s Philosophy to Sustainable Development” at Phu Phan Royal Development Study Centre in Sakon Nakhon province during 5 – 9 May 2018. The camp was participated by 139 Young Ambassadors of Virtue and 32 teachers representing 52 schools from 17 provinces all over Thailand.
