The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation, in cooperation with PTT Public Company Limited, organized a camp called “Save the World, Save the Land” at the Sirindhorn International Environmental Park, Phetchaburi province during 7 – 11 April 2018. The participants comprised of selected 139 Young Ambassadors of Virtue and 28 teachers, representing 48 schools from 13 provinces all over Thailand.
This camp allowed the participants to learn about King Rama IX’s initiatives on conserving energy, natural resources and environment as well as developing an alternative energy. The participants had an opportunity to cultivate their sense of conservation conscience through various hands-on learning activities such as planting, livestock raising, energy saving, using alternative energy, garbage disposal, wastewater treatment, and environment conservation.
After having completed this learning experience, 27 Young Ambassadors of Virtue and 6 teachers were selected to participate in a study trip to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, with the aim to widen their knowledge and enhance their friendship with the youths in Viet Nam.
