The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation organized “Dhamma is the Light of Wisdom Camp”

The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation, in cooperation with Vimuttayalaya Institute, organised a camp called “Dhamma is the Light of Wisdom” at Rai Chern Tawan International Meditation Center, Chiang Rai Province. This camp under the “love our country” project was opened by Phramaha Wudhijaya Vajiramedhi (W.Vajiramedhi), a prominent Buddhist monk, and Former Ambassador Don Pramudwinai. It was held between 12-16 April 2013 and participated by 130 selected Young Ambassadors of Virtue 42 teachers, represented 65 schools from 21 provinces all over Thailand.

The camp focused on mind training and moral values. As for mind training, the children practiced meditation to help cultivate wisdom. This activity was supervised by Phramaha Daveevongse Dhitayano. W.Vajiramedhi gave Dhamma Talks, aiming to develop morality among children and to instill reading habit, leadership qualities and courage. Other activities include art as part of meditation training as well as learning about ASEAN and Sri Lanka. During camping, 26 Young Ambassadors of Virtues were selected to join the study trip to Sri Lanka to promote knowledge exchange and friendship. One of the activities is to attend a Buddhist Sunday School with local students. On their return, they are expected to produce a handbook to share their experiences in Sri Lanka with other Young Ambassadors.

Domestic Projects and Activities

The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation and Office of the Royal Development Projects Board (ORDPB) organized a camp on The King’s Philosophy to Sustainable Development

The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation, in cooperation with Office of the Royal Development Projects Board (ORDPB), arranged a camp called “The King’s Philosophy to Sustainable Development” at Phu Phan Royal Development Study Centre in Sakon Nakhon province during 5 – 9 May 2018. The camp was participated by 139 Young Ambassadors of Virtue and 32 teachers representing 52 schools from 17 provinces all over Thailand.
