The 25th Years of Young Ambassadors of Virtue: A Steady Journey towards Sustainability

The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn organized the 25th Years of Young Ambassadors of Virtue: A Steady Journey towards Sustainability on Monday, 28 April 2025 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand. The event showcased past successful multi-dimensional projects and activities aimed at encouraging young people to be virtuous, excellent, and patriotic, as well as to act as “Young Ambassadors” who are able to promote Thailand, especially Thai culture and the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy as practiced in every life, so that young people in other countries become more familiar with and deepen their appreciation for Thailand. 

Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously presided over the event, which was also attended by over 700 people, including members of the Foundation’s executive board, high-level Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials, Ambassadors to Thailand from Indonesia, China, Hungary, Morocco, New Zealand, Lao PDR, Chile, Singapore, Kenya, Malaysia, Brazil, and Nepal, as well as members of government and private organizations, school directors, teachers, and students in the Foundation’s network. 

The Young Ambassadors of Virtue delegation consisted of students who took part in friendship-building programs in 9 countries. The Young Ambassadors representatives gave a presentation about their experiences and pride in being Young Ambassadors of Virtue. They also performed Thai songs and songs in the languages of the countries they visited, which are China, South Korea, Nepal, Indonesia, and Lao PDR. 

On this occasion, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously bestowed a handwritten royal poem to the Foundation as well as honorary pins and plaques upon 40 distinguished individuals, members of organizations, and members of exemplary schools who have made contributions to the Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation.  

The 25th Years of Young Ambassadors of Virtue: A Steady Journey towards Sustainability also showcased “the Duang Rattana: The Development of Education for Thai Youths exhibition”, a collection of painting honoring Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on the auspicious occasion of the 70th birthday on 2 April 2025. There were also exhibitions from the Office of the Royal Development Projects Board, the Department of European Affairs, the Department of ASEAN Affairs, The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Bangkok, and Young Ambassadors of Virtue schools. The exhibitions offered exciting, hands-on learning experiences that broaden knowledge. Young Ambassadors and participants also received giveaways at the event. 

On this occasion, Mr. Don Pramudwinai, the Founder of the Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation, presented awards to 14 schools that won a painting contest honoring Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn as well as 50 scholarships, each worth 2,500 baht, on the occasion of the 25th Year of the Foundation, to students that took part in broadening the horizon project in 9 countries. The scholarships help expand education opportunities and support students’ continuous journey in education.
