The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation and Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs organized “New Virtue Generation with Sufficiency Economy into the International World Camp”

The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation, in cooperation with Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs organized a “New Virtue Generation with Sufficiency Economy into the International World Camp” at The Sirindhorn International Environment Park, Phetchaburi province during 17 – 22 April 2018. The participants comprised of 110 Young Ambassadors of Virtue from 24 provinces all around the country.

The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation and PTT Public Company Limited organized “Save the World, Save the Land Camp”

The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation, in cooperation with PTT Public Company Limited, organized a camp called “Save the World, Save the Land” at the Sirindhorn International Environmental Park, Phetchaburi province during 7 – 11 April 2018. The participants comprised of selected 139 Young Ambassadors of Virtue and 28 teachers, representing 48 schools from 13 provinces all over Thailand.

The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation and Office of the Royal Development Projects Board (ORDPB) organized “Innovative Profession, Nourishing lives with Sufficiency Economy Pathway Camp”

The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation, in cooperation with the Office of the Royal Development Projects Board (ORDPB), organized an “Innovative Profession, Nourishing lives with Sufficiency Economy Pathway Camp” at Khao Hin Sorn Royal Development Study Center, Chachoengsao province during 31 March – 4 April 2018. The participants comprised of 122 Young Ambassadors of Virtue and 13 teachers, representing 48 schools from 13 provinces all around Thailand.

The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation and Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University (MCU) organized “Dhamma with Sufficiency Economy Camp”

The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation, in cooperation with Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University (MCU), organized a “Dhamma with Sufficiency Economy Camp” at Suan Tham Sripathum, a meditation centre, in Pathum Thaini province between 22 – 26 March 2018. It was participated by 189 Young Ambassadors of Virtue representing 71 schools from 19 provinces in northern, northeastern and eastern part of Thailand.

The Delegation of the Young Ambassadors of Virtue Project Visiting the Republic of the Philippines

The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation, in collaboration with the Royal Thai Embassy in Manila, organized a visit to the Republic of the Philippines on 23 – 28 October 2018. The delegation, led by Mr. Thani Thongphakdi, Deputy Permanent Secretary, consisted of 33 people including Mrs. Usana Wongnarkpet, Human Resources Officer Expert, 20 Young Ambassadors of Virtue, 6 teachers, 3 school directors, and 2 officers from the Foundation. The delegation represented 20 schools from 20 provinces all around the country. These representative youths are 5th – 6th grade students selected from schools in the Foundation’s network.

The Delegation of the Young Ambassadors of Virtue Project Visiting Yunnan Province, the People’s Republic of China

The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation (YAVF), in collaboration with the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Kunming, organized a visit to Yunnan province during 8 – 14October 2018. The delegation consisted of the Director of the YAVF, 2 YAVF officers, 30 Young Ambassadors of Virtue, 6 teachers, and 3 school directors representing 25 schools from 16 provinces all around Thailand. These representative youths are 4th – 9th grade students selected from schools in the Foundation’s network.

The Delegation of the Young Ambassadors of Virtue Project Visiting the Lao People’s Democratic Republic

The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation, in collaboration with the Royal Thai Embassy in Vientiane, organized a visit to Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) during 16 – 23 September 2018. The delegation led by H.E. Mr. Chaisiri Anamarn, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, comprised of 35 participants including the Director of Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation, 22 Young Ambassadors of Virtue, 6 teachers, 3 school directors, and 2 officers from the foundation. The participants are 4th – 9th grade students representing 17 schools from 11 provinces of Central Thailand.

The Delegation of the Young Ambassadors of Virtue Project Visiting 
the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam

The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation (YAVF), in collaboration with the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City, arranged a visit to Viet Nam during 26 August – 2 September 2018. The delegation, led by Ms. Busadee Santipitaks, Director-General of Department of Information, comprised of 39 participants including the Director of YAVF, selected 27 Young Ambassadors of Virtue, 6 teachers, 3 school directors, and 2 officers from the foundation. The participants are 4th – 9th grade students representing 24 schools from 15 provinces of Southern and Central Thailand.

The Delegation of the Young Ambassadors of Virtue Project Visiting the Republic of the Union of Myanmar

The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation (YAVF), in collaboration with the Royal Thai Embassy in Yangon, organized a visit to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar on 5 – 12 August 2018. The delegation, led by the Director of YAVF, consisted of 30 people including 19 Young Ambassadors of Virtue, 5 teachers, 3 school directors, and 2 officers from the Foundation. The Young Ambassadors of Virtue were selected from 14 schools in 10 different provinces of Northern and Eastern Thailand.

The Delegation of the Young Ambassadors of Virtue Project Visiting Guangdong Province, the People’s Republic of China

The Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation, in collaboration with the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Guangzhou, organized a visit to Guangdong province during 28 May – 6 June 2018. The delegation consisted of 6 Young Ambassadors of Virtue, 1 supervisor teacher from 6 schools in 6 provinces (Chantaburi, Nakhon Phanom, Rayong, Ratchaburi, Chiang Rai and Narathiwat). Students are between 5th – 8th grade selected from schools in the Foundation’s network.

The 2017 Campaign Project to Promote Morality 
in the Young Ambassadors of Virtue

For the third consecutive year, the Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation , with support from the Crown Property Bureau Foundation, has organised the Campaign Project to Promote Morality in the Young Ambassadors of Virtue. The activities in this Project includes a “Sufficiency City” exhibition, consisting of 10 learning stations from which students can learn about the “self-sufficiency principles” and how to apply the principles in their daily lives. Students also had an opportunity to expand their world views through an exhibition on foreign affairs and the world.

Young Ambassadors of Virtue’s Visit to the Kansai Region

The Royal Thai Consulate in Osaka, in collaboration with the Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation, organized a visit to Kansai for the selected group of Young Ambassadors of Virtue during 29 September – 9 October 2017, as part of activities to celebrate and commemorate the 130th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Thailand and Japan. This is also the second year that the Royal Thai Consulate in Osaka and the Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation has organised such visit, with a view to foster friendship and strengthen people-to-people relation between the Thai and Japanese youth through various cultural and educational activities.

Friend of YAVF

Through cooperation with Friends of Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation (YAVF) and other partner organizations, the Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation continued to undertake projects with an emphasis on human resource development, designed to enhance the individual’s capacity and ability to compete and tackle challenges in the globalized world. This is indeed the shared responsibility of all sectors in Thailand and their concerted efforts are required to achieve this important task.

The Department of Information

The Department of Information For several years, the Department of Information of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been conducting Buakaew outreach trips to provinces in all the regions of Thailand. The outreach project allows the Ministry toinform the public and improve their understanding about foreign policies. The trips provide an opportunity for the Ministry to directly connect with the public, enabling them to take part in policy making and implementation. This principle of engaging with people from all sectors is called “foreign affairs of the people”.
